Unlike the conventional MBBS degree (which requires immense study of a long curriculum), paramedics is an excellent profession to create a career in the medical industry in a short span of time and on a limited budget. Job-oriented paramedical courses offer a wide range of career options.

A further advantage of the paramedical programme is that it offers certificate, diploma, graduate, and postgraduate academic courses with durations ranging from three years to six months. Paramedical programmes are available at a number of colleges/universities across the country, with average admission requirements. Students must complete a 10+2 grade to be eligible for admission in paramedical courses.

Admission to certificate and diploma paramedical courses is direct. However, entrance examinations are conducted every year for admission in bachelor's, master's, and PhD programmes.
